Flags flying for the NHS

Flags have been raised today at Remembrance Gate to celebrate the work of those in the NHS and care sectors ahead of this week’s “Clap for Carers”.

Organised by the Armed Forces Major Events Team, the flags will be flying for the duration of the lock-down period and for a short while afterwards so people can see them once the lockdown is over.

Alex Baxter, MD of AFMET, said: “Everyone who works in the care sector and the NHS is doing such a brilliant job at the moment, we wanted to make sure we supported them in the best way that we could. The Gate is such an iconic place in Cleethorpes, we wanted to do something appropriate to show our gratitude to all the key workers.”
