From today, Monday 12 April, further restrictions are being eased across England.

Non-essential shops have reopened, personal care has resumed and outdoor hospitality is able to operate again.

Overnight stays in self-contained accommodation are also permitted for same households / support bubbles.

Free rapid testing

Everyone in England now has access to free, rapid COVID testing which produce a result within about 30 minutes. 

About 1 in 3 people with coronavirus do not have symptoms but can still infect others.

The tests have been vital in identifying positive cases early, allowing them to self-isolate and reduce the spread of the virus.
