The first physical North East Lincolnshire Council Cabinet meeting for 14 months was held at Grimsby Town Hall last night, with unanimous approval for the next stage of the Freeports governance arrangements.

CELEBRATING the best in North East Lincolnshire, the Civic Awards 2021 have been launched today by the borough’s new Mayor.

The council Cabinet that will drive forward the plans for the next year has been confirmed for 2020-21.

Wolds ward councillor David Hasthorpe has been sworn in as the Worshipful Mayor of the Borough of North East Lincolnshire.

The final stage of the works to Sea Road Cleethorpes will get underway in the second week in June.

A new recycling sculpture unveiled today (Thursday 20 May) is joining Hammy the Haddock in the battle to keep Cleethorpes beach clean.

More than £17 million has been awarded to North East Lincolnshire to deliver sweeping changes to the heart of Grimsby, including a fresh home for Grimsby’s Top Town Market, a new cinema and leisure units nearby.
