Improvements to Humberston junction

North East Lincolnshire Council and its regeneration partner, ENGIE, will be starting works to remove the existing mini roundabout at the Humberston Avenue and Grange Farm Lane junction and replace it with a ‘T’ junction this month.

Works are programmed to start on Monday 15 February and will include:

  • The removal of the existing mini roundabout
  • Carriageway resurfacing and road marking renewal
  • Kerbing works
  • Relocation of the existing tactile crossing
  • Installation of new traffic signs

All works are planned to be completed by the morning of Saturday 20 February.

The majority of the works will be carried out under temporary traffic signals between 7:30am and 6pm each day, from Monday 15 February until Thursday 18 February.

The carriageway resurfacing and road markings will be carried out under an overnight road closure on Friday 19 February between 7pm and 6am for one night. During the closure, every effort will be made to maintain access to properties on Grange Farm Lane until 10pm. After 10pm, due to the nature of the works, access for vehicles will not be possible. However, emergency access will be maintained at all times.

Footway access for residents will be maintained throughout the works.

A signed diversion route will also be in place for vehicles attempting to travel on Humberston Avenue.

North East Lincolnshire Council’s regeneration partner, ENGIE, will manage and oversee the works with contractor, EC Surfacing Ltd, carrying out the works.

North East Lincolnshire Council, ENGIE and EC Surfacing Ltd would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the works.
