North East Lincolnshire Council and its regeneration partner, EQUANS, are still seeking views to gain a greater understanding of local people’s views on electric vehicles (EVs) and identifying possible future trends.
The survey, launched earlier this year and backed by transport chiefs, is vital in the continued development of an EV strategy for the area.
It will also help to support evidence of EV demand in the future for funding bids that will allow funding to be secured to bring more infrastructure into the area.
Councillor Stewart Swinburn, portfolio holder for environment and transport, said: “We are fully embracing the EV agenda and are taking steps to ensure we have the EV infrastructure required for the years ahead.
“I want to see us bring more EV charging points into the area for residents, businesses and visitors and securing Government funding is key for delivering this. The only way we can achieve the funding is with the support of our communities and businesses in sharing your views and suggesting charging point locations.
“The survey and form will only take a few minutes to complete and will support transport officials in shaping the future of EV in North East Lincolnshire.”
The EV perceptions survey can be completed online at www.nelincs.gov.uk/have-your-say- external site. To support the development of potential funding bids and ensure infrastructure can be installed where most needed, residents are also encouraged to complete an online form suggesting locations for charging points to be installed.
